Welcome to Lenie House at Loch Ness, our holiday cottage with comfortable accommodation for 4 people. Built in 1897, it's a cosy house but not cramped and is well equipped .We'll be there to meet you on arrival, making sure your holiday gets off to a great start. The cottage is ideally situated for touring the Highlands with Glen Affric, Beauly, Inverness and Victorian Strathpeffer all within a 40 minute drive. Loch Ness Centre, Urquhart Castle, boat cruises, pony trekking, hill walking, restaurants, bank, grocery, pharmacy and post office are all within our village and it's immediate surrounds.

Deepscan is the Loch Ness Project's research boat and skippered by John Minshull.. During the summer John takes Deepscan on hourly cruises on Loch Ness crossing the bay to view Urquhart Castle from its best side and avoiding its crowded carpark and steep access.

John skippered the first hi-tech hydrographic survey of Loch Ness and assisted Adrian Shine with the retrieval of the deep water ROSETTA core from Loch Ness fom 700 feet down in the Loch Ness Submarine.
With his other hat on..... he has skippered for Blind Date, The BBC and numerous other TV and Film crews.

Convenient ... for local walks, trips to Inverness and for days out touring the Highlands. The house is rural but not remote, quiet but within easy access of a post office, a bank, doctors surgery, restaurants and bars.

Drumnadrochit has won awards for its floral displays and its miniature floral castle on the village green.  Lenie is perfectly located for access to the Highlands and of course the "Highland Capital" Inverness. Just 14 miles awa Inverness is a bustling little city, small enough to walk round with the charm of the riverbank running through its centre. There is skating, swimming, museum, theatre, music and a multiplex cinema.

Cawdor Castle and Gardens with access to beautiful rooms and gardens. Lunches and Teas.
Auldearn Antiques if you love bric-a-brac, old lace and cast iron...... old furniture and period plumbing.... have a wander round this converted church and out-buildings.
Brodie Country Fayre for a quality food hall, clothes, cook shop/gift shopping plus a very good value eatery. Glen Affric is one of the most well known glens in Scotland. There are routes marked with way-markers from the car-parks.
Beauly and the old Priory ruin with refreshment at the Priory Hotel reknowned for good meals or just tea, toast, a comfy chair and a newspaper
Moniack Winery for a taste of country wines and jams (Plum Wine highly recommended)
There are several golf courses within striking distance.....Aigas, Inverness and Fort Augustus.
Aqua-dome is a new swimming pool at Inverness with wave features and water slides
